Privacy Settings

I value your privacy, that's why I want you to be aware of what I use on my website, and the data I collect via 🍪 and third-party software.

I use Google Analytics here, to check the demographics of the visitors, as well as the device usage, and make tweaks and improvements to the website. I'm really hoping to ditch it, so if you're aware of an open-source and self-hosted solution for this, please hit me up.

I use Hotjar, to check if my users take advantage of widgets like the TL;DR on my homepage or dark mode, or they find it annoying.

I only ask you for personal details when you try to contact me via the form on this website, so I can call you by your name and respond to your email address. I don't store the information you submit there anywhere, I don't sell it to any other website or company, so you won't be added to any sneaky newsletter after you message me. I don't run a newsletter so you won't be receiving emails from me either, besides my friendly response to your initial contact (which might take a couple of days, so please don't get anxious).

You might have been redirected to this page because you've used some of my free tools, like Do The Work or my Software Estimation Tool. The same rules apply to those projects: They use Analytics and Hotjar for the same reasons, to gather your feedback and improve the products based on what you find useful. I don't collect any information about what you type there.

That's all. I hope you're ok with it!
